Celebrations

YEAR OF SAINT JOSEPH

To celebrate the 150th anniversary of the declaration of St Joseph as the patron of the Catholic Church by Pope Pius IX, Pope Francis declared 08 December 2020 to 08 December 2021 as the Year of St Joseph.

In line with this declaration, the parish will dedicate the mass every 19th of the month in honour of St Joseph.

The Holy Father suggests that we pray the following in honour of St Joseph.

Hail, Guardian of the Redeemer,
Spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
To you God entrusted his only Son;
in you Mary placed her trust;
with you Christ became man.

Blessed Joseph, to us too,
show yourself a father
and guide us in the path of life.
Obtain for us grace, mercy, and courage,
and defend us from every evil.  Amen.

YEAR OF THE FAMILY

To celebrate the 5th anniversary of the Apostolic Exhortation Amoris Laetitia, Pope Francis declared 19 March 2021 to 26 June 2022 as the Year of Amoris Laetitia.
